Malaysian Leaf Frog - Megophrys nasuta

The Malaysian Leaf Frog is a cryptic looking from from South East Asia. They grow quite large with some individuals growing over 6 inches. They have leaf like projections above their eyes and their snout ends in a point. Their backs also resemble dry leaves. These adaptations combined provide excellent camouflage in their native environment of forest floors amongst leaf litter.

These frogs are becoming increasingly common as pets in the UK.
