Hypo Honduran Milksnake - Lampropeltis triangulum hondurensis
Milksnakes get their name for an old wive's tale that they drink the milk from cow's udders as they were often found in barns. Milksnakes don't drink milk and they feed predominantly on small rodents, same as most simlarly sized snakes.
Honduran Milksnakes normally grow to around 4 feet though can be longer. Breeders of this snake have managed to create several colour and pattern variations through selective breeding. Above is a "Hypo" Honduran Milksnake which is lacking the black tips on the scales that are found on wild specimens.
