Boa Constrictor - Boa Constrictor

Boa constrictors, also known as Red Tail Boas, can reach 12 feet in length as adults though typically grow to around 8 feet. They have an attractive pattern of brown, reddish-brown to black "saddles" or dorsal blobs of color on a lighter background which can range through white, golden, grey or brownish, pink, with a reddish brown tail.

Boas do well in captivity and become quite docile with regular handling. They can live up to 20 to 30 years old in captivity making them a long-term commitment as a pet.
