We have been specialising in reptiles for over 27 years and are one of the UK's oldest reptile specialists. We have high standards in the knowledge of all our staff and so have several reptile specialists in store who are also passionate reptile keepers with over 50 years collective experience with reptiles and inverts.

Aquatics and Ponds

Our Aquarium at York Road has over 100 tanks filled with an excellent range of Tropical, Marine and Cold Water Fish. We also stock a range of Live and Frozen Food and for our marine customers a good selection of Living Rock and also R.O Water both fresh and salted. Our Crossgates branch in leeds specialises in ponds and has a fantastic range of pond fish like Koi and Carp as well as Tropical and Coldwater aquarium fish.

Small Animals

Here at Paws for Thought we have an excellent range of Rabbits, Hamster, Guinea Pigs, Gerbils and Chinchillas and all the accessories and supplies required for their care including Cages, Runs, Hutches, Food, Toys and much much more! Our experienced staff are always on hand to talk you through the care of all our animals.

Birds

Paws for Thought are one of the few pet shops in Yorkshire that specialise in birds and we have an excellent range of Canaries, Finches, Budgies, Love Birds, Parrots and other Birds as well as all the accessories and supplies required for their care including Cages, Food, Toys and more!

Dogs

We have a large range of dog accessories ranging from veterinary products including vitamins and wormers as well as grooming equipment, specialists foods and dietary requirements. Everything the discerning dog owner requires for his companion. (Paws for Thought do not sell puppies)

Dale and his team boast a very good history in the Cat Fraternity being a major player in all the major cat shows thoughout the UK for over ten years. Bringing in new innovations from America and Mainland Europe and their depth and knowledge in Cat Accessories and Equipment is vast and extensive.
